The menu is a celebration of fresh, wholesome ingredients expertly crafted to delight your palate and energize your body. Their signature green juices, like the Green Machine—a robust blend of spinach, kale, cucumber, green apple, celery, lemon, and ginger—burst with crisp, vibrant flavors that wake up your senses. For those craving heartier options, the Honey Mustard Chicken Salad and the flavorful, tender Cod Fish Cool bring a satisfying mix of textures and tastes without compromising health.

Vegetarians and vegans will find a haven here, thanks to the delightful falafel and a generously stocked salad bar that lets you customize your meal just the way you like it. Don’t miss the Create Your Own Omelette option, a versatile choice at just $9.99, offering freshness and customization for any appetite.

One of the true stars is their açaí bowl selection—each bowl is a colorful, nutrient-packed masterpiece. Whether it’s the indulgently rich Dynamic Duo with chocolate soy protein and fresh berries or the tropical Mango Madness with ripe mango and coconut, these bowls are a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, perfect for a feel-good breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up.

The customer experiences echo the restaurant’s commitment to quality and hospitality. As Gigie TheChoublakLady shared, their smoothies are “freshly made, very healthy and delicious,” offering good value and satisfaction. Fran-GNT praised the comforting dishes like the green soup and butter chicken, highlighting not only the food’s impeccable taste but also the warm and welcoming service from staff like Anju and Gia. Max Vaughn appreciated the friendly, upbeat vibe and the speedy service, emphasizing how Food For Thought is an excellent choice for a quiet meal filled with flavor. Repeat visitor Sue Viscardi simply calls it a “definite return lunch & quick bite spot,” blessed with healthy options that never skimp on taste.

It’s no surprise that Hempstead Liquors crowned Food For Thought a “hidden gem” in Garden City, applauding it as a must-visit for anyone who cherishes fresh, vibrant meals paired with attentive, kind service.

I went there for a smoothie. I was not disappointed. I got the Berry powerful. It was freshly made, very healthy and delicious. The serving was good for my 11 bucks.

We stumbled upon this place after a visit at summit health in pain and looking for comfort food- we decided to try it. happily surprised - the green soup and butter chicken were so good - we have gone back several times . And I’ve recommended to the nurses at the medical center - they too agreed - delicious!!! . Anju and Gia were so hospitable . So sweet, so kind. Most important the taste the flavors succulent and not too spicy, but you can get spicy if you like that. They give a large enough portion you can have leftovers for the next day. New fan forever- Morgan -

The young lady working the evening of Monday, 11/3/25, was incredibly nice and pleasant. I felt very welcome to be there. The food came very fast and was healthy, fresh, and delicious. The place was clean and relatively quiet, making it a great apot to enjoy a conversation. The decor was nice and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Garden City! Rating: 5/5 stars I stumbled upon this amazing spot in the heart of Garden City, on 7th Street in Nassau County, New York, and I'm so glad I did! This place is a must-visit for foodies and health enthusiasts alike. Whether you're in the mood for lunch, dinner, or brunch, they've got you covered. Their menu offers a wide range of options, including smoothie bowls, salads, and sandwiches. You can choose from chicken, meat, or veggie options, and they even offer large vegetable sprouts! What impressed me most was their attention to detail. They warm up their ingredients on a small grill, and their cooler area offers a variety of bite-sized snacks, & drink , including organic power shots. Their smoothies are a must-try, with options like green, berry, and fruit, all packed with protein. The staff is friendly and busy, but I had a chance to chat with the manager, who was super cool and welcoming. The outdoor seating area is perfect for a sunny day, and the inside is cozy and fun. Overall, this place is a gem in the heart of Garden City. Don't miss out on the opportunity to try it out!
